Mitigating measurement errors in multiqubit experiments

چکیده
Reducing measurement errors in multiqubit quantum devices is critical for performing any algorithm. Here we show how to mitigate by a classical postprocessing of the measured outcomes. Our techniques apply experiment where outcomes are used computing expected values observables. Two error-mitigation schemes presented based on tensor product and correlated Markovian noise models. Error rates parametrizing these models can be extracted from calibration data using simple formula. mitigation achieved applying inverse matrix probability vector that represents noisy measurement. The overhead, including number measurements cost postprocessing, exponential $\ensuremath{\epsilon}n$, $\ensuremath{\epsilon}$ maximum error rate $n$ qubits. We report experimental demonstration our methods IBM Quantum stabilizer graph states with $n\ensuremath{\le}12$ qubits entangled 20-qubit generated low-depth random Clifford circuits.

Instrumental Variables Regression with Measurement Errors and Multicollinearity in Instruments
In this paper we obtain a consistent estimator when there exist some measurement errors and multicollinearity in the instrumental variables in a two stage least square estimation of parameters. We investigate the asymptotic distribution of the proposed estimator and discuss its properties using some theoretical proofs and a simulation study. A real numerical application is also provided for mor...
متن کاملTowards Mitigating Human Errors in IT Change Management Process
IT service delivery is heavily dependent on skilled labor. This opens the scope for errors due to human mistakes. We propose a framework for minimizing errors due to human mistakes in Change Management process, focusing on change preparation and change execution. We developed a tool that brings better structure to the change plan, as well as, helps the change plan creator in developing a plan f...
متن کاملMitigating Tropospheric Propagation Delay Errors in Precise Airborne GPS Navigation
The high spatial and temporal variability of the troposphere is well known, as is its effect − through propagation delays − on GPS positioning. This effect can be particularly problematical in airborne kinematic differential positioning where the altitude difference between reference station and aircraft is typically quite large. The use of zenith delay models and mapping functions at ground st...
متن کاملMitigating scoring errors in microsatellite data from wild populations
Microsatellite data are widely used to test ecological and evolutionary hypotheses in wild populations. In this paper, we consider three typical sources of scoring errors capable of biasing biological conclusions: stuttering, large-allele dropout and null alleles. We describe methods to detect errors and propose conventions to mitigate scoring errors and report error rates in studies of wild po...
متن کاملMitigating errors in surface temperature forecasts using approximate radiation updates
Due to computational expense, the radiation schemes in many weather and climate models are called infrequently in time and/or on a reduced spatial grid. The former can lead to a lag in the diurnal cycle of surface temperature, while the latter can lead to large surface temperature errors at coastal land points due to surface fluxes computed over the ocean being used where the skin temperature a...
